Stories by Sun Country

Produced a new external communications website (www.stories.suncountry.com), Stories by Sun Country for Sun Country Airlines.

When I first joined the Sun Country team, I noticed a gap in their communication strategy - the absence of a platform dedicated to sharing stories about destinations, travel experiences, employees, company news, and beyond.

Recognizing the immense potential to connect with our audience on a deeper level, I took the initiative to propose the creation of an external communications site. After some persuasive negotiation and a lot of hard work, I successfully pitched the idea to our leadership team.

After receiving approval from leadership for the project and securing the budget, I developed the content strategy for the website. I made sure to consider that this content strategy for Stories would also be used for both Stories and our social media accounts.

Afterwards, I began creating a site map and wireframes. Upon receiving feedback on them, I proceeded to develop the website using Wix.

One year after its launch, I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of Stories. The website has resulted thousands of views (190,000+ since its inception) and has housed excellent articles produced by me and my team members. The content is used within multiple channels, including social media and in their weekly consumer email.

Additionally, it has also fulfilled other communication purposes, including featuring a mobile app page to introduce a new product and serving as a hub for crisis communications when necessary.
